About Emily

Hello, I'm Rev. Emily Pheiffer. A proud FuturFaith Minister, HSE Registered Solemniser and founder of Shamrock Ceremonies. I bring warmth, calm, and heartfelt moments to every ceremony I create

My Story

I was born and raised in West Cork, the daughter of West Cork and Kerry parents, giving me a rich Irish traditional heritage. My Irish roots run deep. I grew up inspired by how people connect, celebrate and honour the important moments in life.

I officiate weddings, vow renewals, baby naming ceremonies, renaming ceremonies,

end-of-life ceremonies, with words and moments that linger in the heart. I have lived in

Dublin since 2006, and this city has become my home while I continue to celebrate life's moments with families and individuals across Ireland and abroad.

Before becoming a celebrant, I worked as a Special Needs Assistant in a special school. That experience taught me the value of patience, empathy, and truly listening. These skills I now bring to every ceremony I create. I also love bringing a sense of calm, warmth, and a touch of humour to help people feel relaxed and fully present during their special moments.

I began my celebrant journey with FuturFaith Ministry, and I am now a legal solemniser in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The training was thorough, inspiring, and deeply rewarding, giving me the confidence and skills to craft ceremonies that are personal, inclusive, and meaningful.

Life has thrown its challenges my way, but I've remained positive and grateful for the lessons along the way. These experiences have shown me how powerful the right words, rituals, and moments can be. I have realised I wanted to help individuals, families and couples, mark life's milestones in a way that truly reflects who they are, celebrating the love, laughter, and connection that make life special.

I respect and welcome people of all faiths, mixed faiths, semi‑faith, or no faith at all. Every ceremony I create is crafted with care, ensuring the words, rituals, and moments resonate with the people involved. It would be my privilege to design a ceremony that reflects your story.

My Journey to Celebrancy

Becoming a celebrant felt less like choosing a career and more like answering a calling. I've always been drawn to the moments that matter—the times when people come together to celebrate love, honour memory, or welcome new beginnings. I wanted to be part of those moments in a meaningful way, not just as a guest, but as someone who could help shape them into something truly special. After training with FuturFaith, Ireland's leading celebrant training organisation, I discovered that celebrancy combines everything I value: storytelling, connection, creativity, and service. Now, as a legally registered celebrant with the HSE, I have the privilege of officiating ceremonies that mark life's most significant transitions. It's work that fills me with purpose every single day.

Training & Qualifications

I completed my celebrancy training with FuturFaith, Ireland's premier celebrant training organisation known for its rigorous standards and comprehensive curriculum. This training covered ceremony design, public speaking, legal requirements, pastoral care, and the cultural and religious traditions that inform modern celebrancy. I am registered with the HSE as a legally authorised solemnizer of marriage, which means I can conduct legally binding wedding ceremonies anywhere in Ireland. I am also insured and continue to engage in professional development to ensure I'm offering the highest standard of service. Being nominated by FuturFaith is a mark of quality I'm proud to uphold—it means I've been trained to approach celebrancy with professionalism, creativity, and heart.

My Approach

I believe every ceremony should be as unique as the people at its heart. Whether you're celebrating a wedding, welcoming a new baby, renewing your vows, or saying goodbye to someone you love, these moments deserve to be marked with intention, authenticity, and warmth. My role isn't to impose a formula—it's to listen deeply, understand what matters most to you, and craft a ceremony that feels unmistakably yours. I work collaboratively with you throughout the entire process, ensuring every word, gesture, and moment reflects your values, your story, and your vision. No two ceremonies I create are ever the same, because no two stories are ever the same.

Beyond Ceremonies

When I'm not writing ceremonies, these are my

  • Time in nature — hiking, fresh air, and the sense of calm and clarity it brings

  • Family connection — being present with my son and creating a warm, loving home

  • Simple, meaningful moments — good conversations, quiet evenings, feeling grounded

  • Personal growth — evolving, learning, and becoming more aligned with myself

  • Protecting your peace — choosing calm, balance, and emotional wellbeing.
