Every ceremony I create is a collaboration—a chance to tell your story, honour what matters most, and mark a meaningful moment in your life. Whether you're getting married, welcoming a child, renewing your vows, or saying goodbye to someone you love, I'm here to craft a ceremony that feels authentically yours. Below, you'll find detailed information about each type of ceremony I offer. If you have questions or want to discuss your specific needs, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Wedding Celebrant
Wedding Ceremonies - Your wedding ceremony is the heart of your wedding day—the moment when you stand before the people you love and make a lifelong commitment to each other. As a legal celebrant registered with the HSE, I have the authority to solemnize your marriage anywhere in Ireland and Northern Ireland, making your ceremony both legally binding and deeply personal. I specialize in creating bespoke wedding ceremonies that reflect who you are as a couple. From the first consultation to the final words spoken on your wedding day, I work closely with you to craft a ceremony that tells your story, honours your values, and celebrates your love in a way that feels authentic and meaningful. No two ceremonies are ever the same, because no two couples are ever the same. Whether you envision a traditional ceremony structure with a modern twist, something entirely unconventional, a ceremony that blends cultural or religious traditions, or a simple, heartfelt exchange of vows, I'll bring your vision to life. We'll discuss every element together: the tone and style, the ceremony structure, your vows (whether you write your own or prefer guidance), readings and music, symbolic rituals like handfasting, unity candles, moon water unity, sand ceremonies, or ring warming, and any other personal touches that matter to you. I'm experienced in working with couples from all backgrounds and beliefs, and I welcome everyone—mixed-faith couples, same-sex couples, couples blending families, and anyone who wants a ceremony that reflects their unique relationship. The ceremony can be religious, spiritual, secular, or a beautiful blend. If you are having a legal wedding ceremony. For legal wedding ceremonies, I will remind you in advance to bring your Marriage Registration Folder. After the signing, I will carefully pass it to your chosen person for safekeeping, so you can relax and fully enjoy your celebration. On your wedding day, I'll arrive early, coordinate with your venue and other suppliers, and deliver your ceremony with warmth, confidence, and presence. My goal is to create a ceremony that moves you, engages your guests, and becomes one of the most memorable moments of your life.
Naming Ceremonies
Naming Ceremonies - Welcoming a new baby (or adopting a child of any age) is a joyful milestone worth celebrating. A naming ceremony is a beautiful, non-religious alternative to a christening or baptism—a way to officially introduce your child to the world, surround them with love, and involve family and friends in their life story.
I create naming ceremonies that are warm, inclusive, and full of meaning. We'll work together to design a ceremony that reflects your family's values and celebrates your child's arrival. The ceremony can include welcome readings, promises from parents, the involvement of guide parents or supporting adults (like godparents), symbolic gestures like planting a tree or creating a time capsule, and blessings or wishes from loved ones. It's a chance to gather the people who matter most and formally ask them to play a role in your child's life.
Naming ceremonies are completely flexible and can be held anywhere—your home, a garden, a favourite park, a community hall, or a meaningful outdoor location. They can be intimate with just close family or large celebrations with all your friends. The tone is entirely up to you: joyful and playful, reflective and heartfelt, or anything in between. I'll guide you through the planning process, suggest ideas and ceremony elements, and write a script that captures your hopes and dreams for your child. On the day, I'll deliver a ceremony that's engaging, inclusive, and memorable—one that everyone will enjoy and your child will treasure when they're older.
Vow Renewal Ceremonies
Vow Renewal Ceremonies - Renewing your vows is a beautiful way to celebrate your marriage, reaffirm your commitment, and mark a milestone in your relationship. Whether you're celebrating a significant anniversary, emerging stronger after a difficult time, or simply want to declare your love again in front of family and friends, a vow renewal ceremony is a meaningful and joyful occasion. Unlike a wedding, a vow renewal isn't a legal ceremony—it's purely celebratory, which means we have complete creative freedom. We can design a ceremony that reflects where you are now as a couple, incorporating elements that weren't part of your original wedding or revisiting traditions that hold special meaning. You might choose to write new vows, reaffirm your original vows, or do both. The ceremony can include readings from your children or other family members, symbolic rituals like a unity candle or handfasting, renewal of rings, or even a surprise element if one partner is planning the ceremony as a gift. Vow renewal ceremonies can be as intimate or grand as you like. Some couples prefer a quiet ceremony with just the two of them, perhaps at a location that holds significance. Others throw a big party with all their loved ones. I'll work with you to create a ceremony that suits your style, your relationship, and the moment you're celebrating. The tone can be romantic and heartfelt, lighthearted and fun, or a blend of both. I'll help you craft a ceremony that honours your journey together—the love that brought you together, the challenges you've overcome, and the future you're building. It's a chance to pause, reflect, and celebrate the life you've created together.
Funerals & Memorial Ceremonies
Funeral & End of Life Ceremonies - Saying goodbye to someone we love is one of life's most difficult moments. A funeral ceremony should honour the person who has died, provide comfort to those who are grieving, and bring people together in remembrance and reflection.
I work with families to create funeral and memorial ceremonies that are personal, meaningful, and compassionate—celebrating a life lived while acknowledging the grief of loss. Whether you're planning a traditional funeral, a celebration of life, a memorial service, or a graveside ceremony, I'm here to support you with sensitivity and care. I take time to learn about the person being remembered—their story, their passions, their relationships, their humour, their impact. I meet with family members to gather memories, stories, and reflections, and I weave these into a ceremony that feels true to who they were.
The ceremony can include readings, music, eulogies from family and friends, poems, symbolic gestures, moments of silence, or anything else that feels appropriate. I can incorporate religious prayers or blessings if desired, or keep the ceremony entirely secular. Funeral ceremonies can take place at a funeral home, crematorium, graveside, family home, or any location that holds significance. I'm experienced in working with funeral directors and can coordinate seamlessly with other professionals involved. My goal is to ease some of the burden during an incredibly difficult time, providing a ceremony that honours memory, offers comfort, and helps with the healing process.
